The first Annual Wabash Trace Nature Trail Marathon September 15, 2012 will include a full marathon, half marathon and a marathon relay that consists of five member teams. Profits go to the Wabash Trace Trail and participating communities.
The Wabash Trace Nature Trail is a converted railroad line that crosses through the scenic Iowa countryside. Participants will be treated to a course that is relatively flat and significantly tree-lined providing for shade along the route. All three events are point-to-point races and will finish in Shenandoah, Iowa.
All participants entering any of the races will receive the official Sport-Tek race t-shirt which celebrates the inaugural Wabash Trace Marathon. A pre-race pasta dinner will be held at the Depot Restaurant in Shenandoah on the night before the event, Friday, September 14th at 7:00 p.m. Profits go to the Wabash Trace Trail and participating communities.
